Every 15 minutes, 50 Americans are diagnosed with cancer. Everyone knows someone affected by cancer and we will dedicate our Friday, July 13th morning to finding a cure. Swimteam, Dive team and ALL pool members are invited to join us in raising money for Swim Across America and participating in the morning swim. We will have activities everyone can participate in and the event will coincide with our annual team pancake breakfast open to all participants. Proceeds from our swim will directly support clinical trials and cancer research at Swim Across America labs.
WHEN: July 13, 2018
7:45 – 11:00 AM
WHERE: Rock Creek Pool
7:45 am: 13 and over Swim Team (Goal to swim 50+ laps each)
9:00 am: 12 and under Swim Team (Goal to swim 25+ laps each)
10:00 am: Any pool member (There will be lap lanes, official lap counters and other activities planned)
Any pool member age 4+ can swim. We do ask that children who are 12 and under not currently on the swim team (or any child who cannot swim a length of the pool) be accompanied by a parent.
All you need to do is go to our
swim page and register! You will sign up for a link to your own fundraising page to personalize and send to family and friends to support your
swim.
All
swimmers and volunteers must complete the waiver
here and bring to the event check-in. If you are under 18, please bring the waiver signed by a parent or guardian.
Each participant is encouraged to raise at least $100. Our team goal is to raise $10,000 to support cancer research and clinical trials. Remember this is a certified 501(c)(3) so all donations are tax-deductible and the money raised goes to approved clinical trials or cancer research projects.
Every swimmer who participates will receive a Swim Across America cap, bracelet and tattoos! Raise the amounts below and receive great SAA items for your efforts!
$100 – SAA T-Shirt.
$200 – SAA T-Shirt + Sunglasses.
$500 – SAA T-Shirt + Sunglasses + SAA Towel.
$1000 – SAA T-shirt + Sunglasses + SAA Towel + plus $50 Amazon gift card
